This year’s ornament marks the upcoming 100th anniversary of Historic Town Hall (1927–2027), with original artwork by local artist Barbara Montgomery O’Connell.

The 2026 ornament honors Historic Town Hall, the building that houses the Boca Raton Historical Society and helps preserve the history of our city. Designed by architect William Alsmeyer in the Spanish Mission style, it is now home to the Historical Society and The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum.
As Town Hall approaches its centennial, this ornament makes a meaningful holiday keepsake and a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves Boca Raton.
1927
Town Hall hosts its first Town Council meeting in March.
1964
A new City Hall opens, and Town Hall becomes a municipal annex.
1980s
In the early 1980s, the Historical Society leases and restores the building.
2027
Centennial
Historic Town Hall turns one hundred.
Every ornament in the collection carries her artwork.
Local artist Barbara Montgomery O’Connell created the original artwork for the 2026 Historic Town Hall Centennial Ornament, and has painted the Society’s commemorative ornaments since the tradition began.

Since 1998, the Society’s ornaments have celebrated the landmarks, people, places, and moments that shaped Boca Raton, from Old Town Hall and Africa U.S.A. to the Boca Express, Addison Mizner’s landmarks, the Yamato Colony, and IBM’s legacy. Select any ornament to view it larger.
