We’re proud to partner with Mahj on the Beach and founder Kari Long, whose passion for Mahjong has introduced countless players throughout South Florida to this timeless game.
What began as a lesson with a friend quickly became a lifelong passion. As a busy mom and reading teacher, Kari discovered that Mahjong offered far more than strategic play. It created opportunities for friendship, laughter, and meaningful connection. She fell in love with the history and traditions of the game and the welcoming community that naturally forms around every table.
Known for her warm teaching style and encouraging personality, Kari creates an environment where beginners quickly gain confidence while experienced players enjoy friendly competition and lasting friendships.
Whether you’re learning your very first tile or refining your strategy, Kari will make sure you feel right at home.
