Museum Greeter & Visitor Services

Welcome visitors, answer questions, and create a warm first impression at the museum entrance and throughout exhibitions.

Research & Archive Assistant

Help organize and catalog historical documents, photographs, maps, and artifacts in our growing archive collection.

Education & School Programs

Assist educators with school group tours, hands-on activities, and interactive programs that bring local history to life for students.

Special Events Support

Help coordinate and run our signature fundraisers, galas, heritage walks, and community celebrations throughout the year.

Collections & Conservation

Support the care, condition-checking, and cataloging of the museum's physical collections, artifacts, and rotating exhibits.

Administrative & Outreach

Assist with office tasks, newsletter production, social media content, membership outreach, and community partnerships.

What We Ask of Our Volunteers

We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Here’s what we ask:
  • A minimum commitment of 4 hours per month
  • Reliability and punctuality — our programs depend on you
  • Willingness to complete orientation and role-specific training
  • A friendly, professional, and welcoming attitude with the public
  • Respect for the museum's collections, policies, and procedures
  • A passion for history and community engagement
