Young detectives and their families brought curiosity, clever thinking, and teamwork to The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum for our very first Mystery at the Museum!
The evening’s mission: solve the case of Frank Chesebro’s missing diary from 1907. Families worked together to follow clues and unravel the mystery, exploring Boca Raton’s history along the way. Thanks to our determined detectives, the case was successfully closed!
As families made their way through the museum’s exhibits, each discovery brought them closer to solving the case. Young investigators compared clues, considered suspects, and shared their ideas, putting their detective skills to work with help from their fellow sleuths. The adventure offered families a playful way to explore local history together, with a mystery connecting their discoveries throughout the museum.
And the culprit? Johnny Mizner, the mischievous pet monkey! In our museum mystery, Johnny was behind the diary’s disappearance. Our detectives followed the evidence and uncovered his involvement, bringing the evening’s investigation to a successful conclusion.
After cracking the case, families celebrated with mini pumpkin decorating—a festive finish to an evening of history, mystery, and creativity.
It was a joy to see families discovering history together through this special adventure. Their enthusiasm and teamwork helped bring the experience to life, and we hope everyone enjoyed solving the mystery as much as we enjoyed creating it.
Thank you to all the families who helped make our first Mystery at the Museum such a memorable evening. The Boca Raton Historical Society and The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum look forward to welcoming you back for more family adventures!
